Our thoughts on the Shangri-La's Fijian Resort & Spa
This is a big resort by Fijian standards with rooms, facilities and beaches spread over a wide area. This means that even when it's heavily booked, there are still secluded spots for those seeking peace and solitude. The way "The Fijian" (as it's commonly known) has developed its kids' facilities, means that it's a great spot for families. However there are plenty of "adults only" areas and facilities too, so everyone gets a perfect holiday at all times. It is worth noting that every room has a balcony or patio with a sea view. Of the huge range of activities and facilities available, we are particularly impressed with the whole range of facilities for kids, from the dedicated kids club and playground to the “kids' eat free” program (lunch and dinner is restricted to the lovely Lagoon Terrace Restaurant). Adults enjoy the wide range of dining options, the numerous bars, the on-site golf course, the magnificent, secluded "Chi" Spa and the air-conditioned Health Club with its range of fitness machines where you exercise while taking in the panoramic view of the ocean. As you can imagine, exercising in such an environment is a most enjoyable experience. The Fijian also offers a huge range of watersports options too. As an added bonus, a very good buffet breakfast is included in the tariff.
Possible Redevelopment
We have been advised by Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort & Spa of a possible major redevelopment program to tentatively commence in January 2013. Our Specialists are constantly in contact with the Resort and we will update information as it comes to hand. Meantime, throughout 2012 the resort is operating as normal.
Your Room & Suite Options
Imagine a large seabird standing facing the sea holding its wings out to dry and you start to get the idea of how The Fijian is laid out. The body of the bird is the central facility which includes the restaurants, and pools and the Premier Ocean View Rooms. The left wing of the bird is the Ocean Wing of the Resort and the right wing is the Lagoon Wing of the resort. The Lagoon Wing is so named because all the rooms have a view of a quiet lagoon inlet with the hills of the mainland beyond. The Ocean View and Premier Ocean View Rooms have longer, mainly clear sea views.
This is a big Resort and distances between rooms and some facilities can sometimes be an issue. In general the Lagoon Wing is more handy to the kids club and the “general use” Lagoon Pool. The Ocean Wing is closer to the Adults-only pool and the Adults-only restaurant as well as the golf bure and the spa. The rooms are all a good size and ground floor rooms are available in most wings of the resort.
There is a wide range of different accommodation and maximum occupancies. Please note that a baby in a cot is counted as 1 child when calculating room maximums.

 Superior Lagoon View, Superior Lagoon Family and Superior Lagoon Garden Rooms
Located in the Lagoon Wing; a generous 32 square meters in area. Both categories have the same layout. The Superior Lagoon Garden Rooms are located on the ground floor with direct access to the expansive lawn and handy to the Lagoon Pool and the beach. Superior Lagoon View Rooms are immediately above.

Superior Ocean View Rooms

Premier Ocean (One Bedroom)
Inspired by traditional Fijian beach bungalows, the six Premier Ocean Bures offer exceptionally spacious accommodation at 136 square metres in size. Located between the exclusive Chi Spa Village and Wedding Chapel, and set right on the water’s edge for sweeping views of the lagoon, reef and Pacific Ocean. The luxury one-bedroom suites are for couples only, and comprise one bedroom and separate living and dining areas.

Premier Lagoon Bure (Two Bedroom Villa)
Four beautiful Fijian Chiefly-style Bures with high, vaulted-ceilings located in a quiet area handy to the Lagoon Wing. The Premier Lagoon Bures are 106 square metres in size and have 2 separate bedrooms as well as a separate dining and living area. Premier Lagoon Bures have 2 bathrooms. The main bathroom has a bath and shower, the second bathroom has a shower only.

Getting to and from the Shangri-La's Fijian Resort & Spa
We will provide a coach or private car arrival/departure transfer from/to Nadi International Airport to The Fijian.
Island Hoppers helicopter transfer to and from Nadi International Airport & selected resorts.
Kids Policy
Children under 17 years of age stay free when sharing the same room as parents using existing bedding (maximum 2 children per room).
Children under 12 years of age eat for free (maximum 2 children per room) when accompanied by an adult. Kids free dining venues are normally fixed but may change subject to occupancy level and the most updated information on the kids eat free program is summarised in a flyer and handed out to every guest at check in.
Children 4 - 12 years of age play for free in the Kids Club "Little Chiefs" including complimentary non-motorised water sports. Please note Kids Club is subject to space availability. Children aged under 4 years are welcome but each child aged under 4 must be accompanied by an adult.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing.

If cancellations are effected within 7 days of scheduled arrival, a cancellation fee equal to one night’s accommodation will be levied.
For travel 06 - 09 April 12, 23 Jun 12 - 15 July 12, 22 September 12 - 07 October 12 & 26 December 12 - 05 January 13
If cancellations are effected between 14 - 8 days of scheduled arrival, a cancellation fee equal to one night’s accommodation will be levied.
If cancellations are effected within 7 days of scheduled arrival, a cancellation fee equal to 100% of total stay will be levied
