OUR Thoughts on Aitutaki Escape, Amuri Beach, Aitutaki
Aitutaki Escape is a unique property on Aitutaki with its up-market beachfront one and two bedroom villas, each one offering a private swimming pool in a walled and private courtyard, an unparalleled beachfront location, a full kitchen for those occasions when guests decide to self-cater as well as on-site Rumours Café all topped-off with exceptional staff and management.
Luxurious Aitutaki Escape is located near the northern tip of Aitutaki only 2 minutes-drive from the airport. Facing north-west over Aitutaki’s outer lagoon and capturing the wonderful sunsets, the 3 spacious villas front a long white-sand beach. Aitutaki Escape provides high quality beach-front accommodation and privacy in a secluded setting.
From the moment you arrive at Aitutaki Escape, you realise that you are in for a very special experience. The entrance to each individual villa is through a private gate into the high-walled courtyard of the villa. The wooden-decked courtyard seamlessly flows into the villa proper with its big open-plan living area and separate bedroom/s. From the living area, each villa opens to the beach via another deck which becomes a boardwalk out over the beach ending almost at the water’s edge.
This whole beachfront deck and boardwalk set-up is, to us, a great example of how well everything about Aitutaki Escape has been planned with the comfort and convenience of guests in mind. In the afternoon or evening, after a dip in your private swimming pool, or having showered prior to dining out, you can wander barefoot out over the beach via your individual beach boardwalk, watch the sunset, cocktail in hand, from your own over-beach deck, then after the sunset display is over, return to your private villa without a grain of sand on your feet! (unless you step off the deck or boardwalk of course).

The two, One Bedroom Beachfront Villas have the names ”Maina” and “Akaiami”. The Two Bedroom Ultimate Beachfront Villa is named “Tapuaetai” all 3 enjoy an absolute beachfront location. All Villas feature both a private swimming pool, separate bedroom/s and a full kitchen.

Both the One Bedroom Beachfront Villas provide guests with the utmost privacy. While the lounge faces the beachfront deck and the fabulous view, the bedroom opens on to the private courtyard with a private swimming pool.

Two Bedroom Ultimate Beachfront Villa.
“Tapuaetai”
Apart from the additional space, the Two Bedroom Ultimate Beachfront Villa provides 2 bedrooms and 2 ensuite bathrooms. The main bedroom opens out to the beach frontage while the second bedroom opens to the privacy of the walled courtyard. Both spacious bedrooms have a super king-sized four-poster bed.

Getting to and from Aitutaki Escape
Domestic flights between Rarotonga and Aitutaki are required and will be arranged by Our Specialists as agreed/required. Kindly note that Aitutaki Escape provides 2 complimentary scheduled domestic flights per villa for those guests staying at least 5 nights.
The new on-demand Cessna Citation Business Jet charter flights are another option and good value for small groups of up to 7 passengers.
Aitutaki Escape supplies a complimentary Meet and Greet and VIP round trip transfers between Aitutaki Airport and Aitutaki Escape.
Kids Policy
Only guests aged 14 years of age and over are accepted at Aitutaki Escape.
Check-in/Check Out
The standard times at Aitutaki Escape are strictly adhered to as follows:
Check In Time: 2:00pm
Check Out Time: 10:00am
Guests arriving/departing on flights which do not coincide with these times will not have access to their villa before or after the standard check-in/check-out times unless early check-in and/or late check-out has been agreed to in advance and paid for.
Early check-in between 8:00am and 2:00pm may be purchased at NZ$250 subject to availability
Late check-out up to 6:00pm may be purchased at NZ$250 subject to availability
