OCTOBER 2014

Hi Lesley,

Firstly, I’d like to thank you for the professionalism shown while arranging our travel – you were very easy to deal with and prompt with responding to our queries. In respect of the Rarotongan, we had read some quite negative feedback on TripAdvisor so were a little worried as to what we would find. However, we were happy with the experience.

The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Spa is a little tired and in need of some maintenance, and we suspect may be a little short of funds as they seemed to run out of a number of things. Despite that, our rooms were absolutely fine (thanks for suggesting the 2 interconnecting garden rooms rather than the single beachfront – it worked perfectly). The beds were lovely, the rooms were clean and were serviced daily, and the location on Aroa Beach is simply stunning – great swimming, snorkelling and sunsets! The staff were all very nice and overall we had no issues at all.

Having said that, it is not a luxurious resort, and of course the islands tend to operate at a slower pace so service is slower than one would expect in NZ. I thought the pricing was reasonable for the quality of the food – better was available elsewhere but what we had was perfectly acceptable. We did eat at The Sanctuary (the adults only part of The Rarotongan) one night and the food was great. So overall, not a particularly upmarket resort but beautifully located and well suited for families.

We also did the four wheel drive safari which was fun, and would highly recommend Te Vara Nui Village for a night out. We had a great time!

Thanks for all your help – we will definitely use your services again – we are thinking maybe Vanuatu next year . . .

Kind Regards
Deidre
