OUR thoughts on Waya Island Resort, Waya Island, Yasawa Islands, Fiji
Located at the southern end of the Yasawa Islands archipelago lies the beautiful Waya Island. With pristine, quiet bays fringed by luscious forests, Waya Island is an unspoiled sanctuary located in the heart of the Pacific. Waya Island Resort opened in 2023 and is now welcoming guests. With 17 bures and a maximum of 34 guests, this adults-only resort is intimate, private, and utterly unique. Waya Island Resort is your gateway to everything the Yasawa Islands has to offer. Relax pool-side or explore a kaleidoscope of marine life during snorkeling or diving adventures.
Spend your days at Waya Island Resort basking in the warm tropical sun, whether on a stretch of golden sand beach or over a poolside cocktail. Deluxe Garden Bure:
Nestled amidst lush tropical gardens, the 3 Deluxe Garden Bures offer a tranquil, private retreat for couples. These elegant, spacious bures feature a king-sized bed, an ensuite with a double vanity and outdoor shower, and a furnished undercover patio. Other bure amenities include air conditioning and ceiling fans, complimentary beach towels and bottled water, and a mini fridge with tea and coffee making facilities.

Deluxe Villa:
Bathe in sublime views of lush gardens and sparkling ocean from the comfort of the Deluxe Villa. Spacious and elegantly designed, the 11 Deluxe villas feature a king-sized bed, an ensuite with a double vanity and outdoor shower, and an undercover patio with Cape Cod chairs. Other villa amenities include air conditioning and ceiling fans, complimentary beach towels and bottled water, and a mini fridge with tea and coffee making facilities.

Getting to and from Waya Island Resort
We are happy to organise any of the following:
Transfer from Nadi International Airport to Port Denarau Marina or Vuda Point Marina by coach or private vehicle to connect to your boat transfer.
Scheduled High-Speed Catamaran Ferry:
The transit is on the “Yasawa Flyer”, a modern, air-conditioned high-speed catamaran ferry with a café on board which operates a daily schedule between Port Denarau and Waya Island Resort. South Seas Cruise’s high-speed catamaran will transport you to Waya Island in two hours. The Yasawa Flyer departs Port Denarau (25 minutes from Nadi Airport) at 8.45am daily. Enjoy air-conditioned spaces, the licensed bar and viewing decks as you journey across the clear lagoons of Fiji’s most beautiful islands. Upgrade to the Captain’s lounge, with air conditioning, snacks, beer, wine and soft drinks. Courtesy coach transfers from/to Nadi International Airport or selected hotels and resorts in Nadi, Wailoaloa and Denarau regions are available.
Private Speedboat Charter:
Journey to Waya Island by a private speedboat charter, a 1.5 hour trip from the mainland. Your private charter will collect you from Vuda Marina or Port Denarau, both a 25 minute drive from Nadi Airport via shuttle, taxi or private transfer. Your private speedboat will transport you across crystal clear tropical waters, cruising past islands and over coral reefs as you relax into your Fijian holiday. Private speed boats are available to charter any time during daylight hours, with the last boat to Waya Island leaving at 4pm. Flexible, efficient and tailored to suit your schedule, private speed boats are the perfect way to maximise your time on the island.
Helicopter:
Helicopter transfer can be arranged to and from Nadi International Airport as well as to/from other selected resorts. A private helicopter charter will transport you from Nadi Airport to Waya Island Resort in just 20 minutes. Your pilot will meet you at the helipad, just a short walk from the arrivals lounge at Nadi Airport. From there, you’ll enjoy a spectacular scenic flight to Waya Island over coral reefs and volcanic ranges.
Kids’ Policy
Waya Island Resort is an adults-only resort. Only guests aged 18 years and over are accepted at Waya Island Resort.
Check-in/Check Out
The hotel will make every effort to have your rooms available at your time of check-in but advise that standard check-in and check-out times are fairly strictly adhered to.
